Visitor Information

Established to promote science, research and innovation, the Epi-Centre of Science is a creative space to explore inventions, technologies and laws of nature. The Epi-Centre of Science is the largest science centre in Eastern Poland. It comprises two areas: the Little Explorer's Zone dedicated to children aged 3-10, and the Main Exhibition, which is suitable for those aged 7 and above.

You may visit both zones within dedicated time slots, which are listed below.

The Epi-Centre of Science is located at the Municipal Stadium in Białystok. The entrances to both zones are separate, clearly marked, and close to each other. Visitors may use parking spaces located right in front of the Centre, as well as additional parking lots situated on stadium grounds. There are also bicycle stands located nearby. You may also conveniently reach the Epi-Centre of Science by bus.

On the premises, there are toilets and lockers. Visitors may also use vending machines with snacks and hot and cold drinks.

Tickets are available online as well as at the cash desks on-site.

Little Explorer's Zone

Designed for children aged 3-10
5 thematic zones | 30 interactive stations | play & learn

 

The Little Explorer's Zone is a colourful play & learn area dedicated to younger children. Here, the kids satisfy their natural curiosity guided by Majka Pytajka and Zmysłek – our brand heroes. All the interactive stations have been carefully designed to match children's cognitive skills, ensure safe play and develop an interest in science.

A visit to the Litlle Explorer's Zone takes 1.5 hours.

 

Main Exhibition

Designed for visitors aged 7+
100 interactive exhibits | 2,670 sqm | 11 thematic zones | 3 labs

 

The Main Exhibition showcases 100 interactive exhibits which let you discover a variety of scientific facts and rules by experiment. It covers an area of 2,670 sqm, which equals 50 school classes. Composed of several thematic areas and 3 laboratories, the exhibition allows you to explore freely and immerse in the fascinating world of science. Forget the outside world and follow your inner curiosity to uncover the secrets of optics, transport, telecommunication, medicine, automation, robotics and many more.

A visit to the Main Exhibitions lasts about 2 hours.

 

LABBAR

Designed for children aged 3-10
DIY laboratory workshops | small groups | professional guide

 

An exciting place to experiment and discover, LABBAR is a laboratory for children to freely practise chemistry and physics. LABBAR was designed as a safe space to probe and observe under the guidance of our staff. Dressed in lab coats, the kids perform a variety of experiments with different substances and ingredients.

LABBAR workshops last 1 hour and are conducted in small groups of sixteen children accompanied by their parents or guardians.

* Who is eligible for a reduced-price ticket?

  • Schoolchildren (valid school id required),
  • Students and PhD. candidates until the age of 26 (valid student id required),
  • Pensioners (valid photo id required),
  • Seniors over 65 (valid photo id required),
  • People with disabilities (valid proof of disability or disability card required); disabled carer is admitted free of charge.

** Who is eligible for a group ticket?

Members of an organised group of at least 10 people composed of kindergarten or schoolchildren, adults or people with disabilities. One minder is admitted free of charge, while others have to buy a ticket. For groups of people with disabilities, all carers are admitted free of charge (valid proof of disability or disability card required).

What is the recommended age to visit the Epi-Centre of Science?

The Main Exhibition is suitable for anyone, regardless of their age. Composed of over 100 interactive exhibits, it is a perfect spot for a visit in a group of friends, a family alternative to everyday activities, as well as great fun for children.

The Little Explorer's Zone is a colourful exploration space designed for children aged 3-10, i.e. kindergarten and primary school pupils. However, we did have a few younger guests, who spent a fantastic time playing with a variety of our sensory exhibits.

Please bear in mind, that this is only our suggestion. The Epi-Centre of Science can also be enjoyed by younger or older guests.

What are the time slots?

You may visit the Epi-Centre of Science within designated time slots, which are separated by necessary technical breaks. The time slot for the Little Explorer's Zone is 1.5 hours, while for the Main Exhibition it is 2 hours.

Family ticket - who is it for?

The family ticket can be used by a family of four persons, including 2 adults max.

Is it possible to start my visit after my time slot has started?

Yes, it is possible to enter the Main Exhibition or the Little Explorer's Zone during an ongoing time slot.

Please remember, however, that your visit will be shorter, as it has to finish when the time slot ends.

How to get to the Epi-Centre of Science?

The Epi-Centre of Science is located at the Municipal Stadium in Białystok. The entrances to both zones are separate, clearly marked, and close to each other. The entrances are situated alongside Wiosenna St.

Visitors may use parking spaces located right in front of the Centre, as well as additional parking lots situated on stadium grounds.

There are also bicycle stands located nearby.

You may also conveniently reach the Epi-Centre of Science by bus, BKM lines 3, 10, 11, 16, 22, 23, 26, 104 and 112.

Is it possible to return purchased tickets?

It is possible to return purchased tickets up to 1 hour before the scheduled time slot.

In order to do so, please fill in this form (TICKET RETURN FORM) and email it to zwroty@epi-centrum.bialystok.pl or bring it to the cashier desk at the Epi-Centre of Science.

I haven't received a ticket confirmation e-mail in my inbox. What should I do?

Please check your spam folder. Should there be no confirmation e-mail, please check if you have received a payment confirmation from PayU (online payment system). Such a payment confirmation is enough to prove that you have bought the ticket.

You are welcome to visit the Epi-Centre of Science on the date and time chosen while purchasing the ticket. When you arrive to the Epi-Centre of Science, please see the cashier desk and provide your name and e-mail address given while buying the ticket online.

There is no need to inform us about this issue beforehand by phone or e-mail.

Do I need to buy a ticket for a baby? Is it easy to move around the centre with a stroller?

In order to enter the Epi-Centre of Science, every visitor, regardless of their age, needs to have a valid ticket.

Our centre is fully accessible and easy to move around with a stroller.

How to buy tickets? On-site or online?

You can buy your tickets at the cash desks on-site, however, buying them online is a more convenient option. It also allows you to see how many tickets there are for a specific date and time slot.

Is the Epi-Centre of Science disabled accessible?

There are no architectural barriers at the Epi-Centre of Science.

The centre is located on the ground floor and all the spaces, doors, toilets and corridors are wheelchair accessible.

How to arrange a group visit?

It is possible to visit the Epi-Centre of Science in a group of 10+ visitors. For a group visit you need to buy group tickets. Group leader is admitted free of charge.

Do you organise birthday parties for children?

No, we do not organise birthday parties. You may, however, book a group visit for all birthday guests and they will surely spend a great time with us!
